Our Programs Are Based on Four Components:

Connection

Gardens provide students with opportunities to understand the relationship between people, food and planet. Involving children in the growing of food connects them to our precious life supporting ecosystems, and the health and environmental issues affecting them.

Knowledge

Education ignites our inquisitive nature and allows us to reach an understanding of how our lifestyle choices affect personal and planetary wellbeing.

Skills

Engaging children in food preparation provides them with skills and experiences that reinforce healthy and sustainable lifestyles.

Application

Empowering students to apply what they have learned in our programs to their everyday life provides health, environmental, social and economic benefits to the whole community.

The Garden to Table Program

One of the easiest ways for people to enjoy a lifetime of wellness is to cultivate healthy lifestyle habits from childhood. Developing healthy habits result from personal experiences with growing, preparing and eating fresh meals. The Garden to Table program provides elementary schools with tools to support these early life experiences. The theme based program allows teachers to integrate lessons with core curriculum and provide students with hands on learning opportunities that develop the knowledge, skills and behaviors that lead to wellness and connectedness to their community and natural environment.
